First Paper Assignment

Identify FOUR themes shared among the three following REQUIRED texts:

Breaking News: Module 1 is easier, but module 2 is much harder than old paper tests on both math and English.

Math: 1 hr (Dr. Li)

English: 2 hrs (Dr. Thomson)

Each mock exam will take around 3 hours, while the review will also take 3 hours.

Location: 10101 Molecular Dr, Ste 100, Rockville, MD 20850 (carpool info conviently available along with the test notice)

Four sections in 3 hours, but without the essay component:

• math part in 80 min
• English part in 100 min

Students must bring

• 3 pencils
• one eraser
• a calculator

Results will be available on the first day of the camp.

Motivation: AMC is offered only once a year. You need to check the box for "Awards" in your college application, then enter a "special" pool.

Objective: To help you claim your awards in the most renown math competitions.

Instructor: Dr. Li

Feature: Dr. Li will tour you through each problem from different perspectives/angles, and approach it  with unqiue clean, simple, and natural algorithms.

AMC 10: (Sunday  10:30 - 12:00 pm)

Math: 1.5 hrs

Reading: 1.5 hrs 

MAP and digital SAT tests are strikingly similar:

• Both are computer randomized tests.
• Both tests offer NO test records, so the student will never know what went wrong.
• Both are adaptive tests (incrementally difficult or easy)
• Both are used to calibrate students' proficiency in math, reading, and grammar usage.
