Scores Distribution
I am impressed by the spirits of the participants on both dates (4/14 & 4/15). Parents applaud their persistence till the last minute.
Each test consists of 3 Sections. The first has 15 multiple choice questions with 10 pts each, the second has 10 open-ended questions with 30 pts each, the third has two open-ended questions which requires showing work, with 50 pts each. The formula for the total is
200 (base) + 300 (S1) + 300 (S2) + 100 (S3) = 900 pts.
Test time allotted: 30 + 30 + 15 = 75 min
(Plenty of time for each question)
Several unique features are found in this contest:
1) Scores are more in line with SAT.
2) Rich in graphics, the test covers logical reasoning, probability, geometry, number, game, and graph theories, rarely found in standardized test.
3) Students are encouraged to show their work for evaluation.
The test result of each individual will be handed over the parents on Saturday (4/21).
